TELCOR OIS® User Group Meeting a Great Success
Lincoln, Nebraska – September 24, 2009 – TELCOR welcomed more than 30 users at the 2nd Annual Outreach Information System® (OIS) User Group meeting. The meeting was held at the TELCOR office in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 21-22, 2009.
The meeting included several special presentations on timely topics that challenge TELCOR’s users every day, including end of month processing, submitting 835s/837s through a clearinghouse, how smaller labs can compete with larger labs, pathology billing and the nursing home market potential for outreach laboratories. There were also many opportunities for roundtable discussions and networking that allowed the users to learn helpful tips for how to better maximize their systems and create valuable connections with other OIS users.
In addition to the great user interaction that took place, TELCOR staff provided information regarding recent enhancements, planned enhancements and the general product direction. The attendees also provided a great deal of feedback regarding the product direction. This feedback will be incorporated into the overall product development strategy as the outreach products continue to grow and evolve.
The User Group held a closed session meeting at which they elected new officers for 2010. Gerry Wood, Director of Billing and Revenue Services at Monogram Biosciences, Inc., was elected President, and Rob Loyd, Implementations Project Manager with McKesson Corporation, PST Services Inc., was elected Vice President of the TELCOR OIS User Group.
