TELCOR’s Becky Clarke to Address Point of Care Connectivity
at the Next Generation Dx Summit
Lincoln, Nebraska – July 28, 2009 – Becky Clarke, Executive Vice President of TELCOR, will be a featured presenter at the Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Premiere Next Generation Dx Summit in Washington, D.C., on August 10, 2009. Clarke’s presentation, “Industry Perspective on Connectivity,” will be in the Enabling Point-of-Care Diagnostics track of the conference.
The Next Generation Dx Summit is designed to bring together the major players of the Molecular Diagnostics arena. The meeting will showcase advances in technology, research and diagnostic development with special emphasis on clinical adoption and value.
Clarke will speak on the considerations that must be recognized when using point of care testing as part of disease management. For example, point of care professionals must consider efficient and effective ways to transmit the data, integrate the data and communicate the data to clinicians. Clarke will discuss the benefits of automating these activities rather than relying on manual methods and potentially resulting in delays, omissions and errors, which could affect timely and proper treatment.
Clarke has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and clinical information systems. A founding partner of TELCOR, she is responsible for the point of care product line and has been the driving force behind the design and development of TELCOR’s point of care testing data and interface management products.
